What We Can Do for You

Use your book as a speaking platform to advocate your thoughts on healthcare

You may be constrained by the contract you have signed with the business that "owns" you, but if you're careful you can make a strong set of points for the plight of healthcare in the US today.

  • You may be consumed by concern for the millions of people who live a life of disease and pain because they didn't follow simple lifestyle or nutrition guidelines and can use your book to reach parents and adolescents.
  • Your area of medical specialty may be on the cutting edge for curing or treating arthritis, diabetes, or birth defects. Share the good news and describe what is needed.
  • Are you sick of the mess that illicit drugs are making in our country? Maybe you have a solution. Or at least you might be able to point out where we're headed if we keep on this course.
  • You may see the shortage of professional physicians and have a solution in this important area of demand over supply.
  • Without exhibiting prejudice, perhaps you can point out some of the economic and medical problems of having so many foreign-trained physicians in our leading hospitals.
  • Or how about launching a campaign to keep from dragging our residents and doctors-in-training through the wringer with impossible work schedules, no sleep, and pressure, pressure, pressure.

Perhaps none of these "rings a bell" for you, but you might start thinking about something else that is calling for your voice to make a difference. You can't change the world. You can only change what lies within your reach. And that is all you need to do.
